Rowena Chan Grant is the Owner and Principal Lawyer of Elmtree Migration Lawyers.  Rowena has over 20 years experience as a lawyer having worked in banking and finance law for international law firms, Herbert Smith Freehills (Melbourne) and Shearman & Sterling LLP (London), as well as in migration law for a leading Australian migration firm.

Rowena’s background in top tier corporate and finance law means she is able to provide unparalleled commercial advice for Australian employers of all sizes.  Rowena’s clients include listed entities, asset managers, national agriculture companies as well as small business operators.

Rowena advises many Australian employers with respect to their workforce needs, particularly the 482, 494 regional, 186 and labour agreement programs.  Elmtree Migration Lawyers has successfully arranged some of the most complex business and work visa matters.

Rowena speaks English and Cantonese and is a member of the Migration Institute of Australia.

Yeonjeong’s (Dora) qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Business Administration and Graduate Certificate in Politics & International Relations.   Dora has over 9 years experience in the migration industry, particularly with employer sponsored visas (482, 186 ENS, 494 Regional) and advising sponsors on their sponsorship obligations and compliance issues.  Dora has advised extensively on family and student migration matters in the last few years and has successfully led many students from their first student visa to their permanent work visa.  Dora speaks English and native Korean.

Misha Lau holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts (Criminology) degree from the University of Melbourne.  Misha assists many of our key clients with skill assessments, employer sponsored work visas and partner visas.

Graduate Lawyer

Bachelor of Laws, Deakin University | Master of Laws, Monash University

Nashika holds a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University where she was awarded the Deakin Meritorius Scholarship as well as a Master of Laws (Commercial and Corporate Law) from Monash University. Nashika previously worked as a Contract Lawyer at Allens Linklaters in Melbourne where she assisted with commercial litigation matters. Nashika assists the Elmtree Migration team on various employer sponsored work visas. Nashika speaks French, Hindi and Mauritian Creole.
