Rowena Chan Grant is the Owner and Principal Lawyer of Elmtree Migration Lawyers.  Rowena has over 20 years of legal experience having worked in banking and finance law for international law firms, Herbert Smith Freehills (Melbourne) and Shearman & Sterling LLP (London).

Rowena’s background in top tier corporate and finance law means she is able to provide unparalleled commercial advice for Australian employers. Rowena represents some of the largest regional businesses in Australia including national agriculture companies, listed entities and asset managers.

Rowena assists regional employers with their foreign workforce needs, particularly under the 482, 494 regional, 186 and labour agreement programs.  Elmtree Migration Lawyers has successfully arranged some of the most complex corporate migration matters.

Rowena speaks English and Cantonese and is a member of the Migration Institute of Australia.

Nashika holds a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University where she was awarded the Deakin Meritorius Scholarship as well as a Master of Laws (Commercial and Corporate Law) from Monash University. Nashika previously worked as a Contract Lawyer at Allens Linklaters in Melbourne where she assisted with commercial litigation matters. Nashika assists the Elmtree Migration team on various employer sponsored work visas. Nashika speaks French, Hindi and Mauritian Creole.

Bachelor of Laws | Auckland University of Technology

Seryna has worked for several years in the immigration industry in New Zealand – as a researcher for a migration agency, advisor for the Immigration & Protection Tribunal within the Ministry of Justice and as a junior immigration barrister.  Seryna obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the Auckland University of Technology where she received a Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship. In Melbourne, Seryna has worked in commercial litigation assistance for Allens Linklaters.

Jonas completed his Juris Doctor at Monash University and has previously practiced in civil litigation, family law and criminal law. Most recently, Jonas assisted in commercial litigation at Allens Linklaters. Jonas advises our clients on employer sponsored work visas. Jonas speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin.
